The Hedgehog Who Wanted to Be a Squirrel by David Webster, illustrated by Emily Webster.

ISBN 9781912078196

Henry the Hedgehog is envious of Sam the Squirrel, and wishes that he was a squirrel. After unsuccessful attempts to become a squirrel he listens to the words of Wise Owl.

As the father of four, the grandfather of nine, and a former GP with a special concern for children, David Webster wants children to be confident and secure in who they are, and of their place in this sometimes confusing world. Each child is special.

Illustrations are by his granddaughter, Emily, a Fine Arts student in Edinburgh, who has been working with the Happy Caravan charity at a refugee camp in Greece.
