A Bumpy Ride is the story of the Haden family’s involvement in the history of Birmingham and the West Midlands during the Industrial Revolution, through two world wars and into modern times—more than one hundred and fifty years of engagement in the manufacture of glass, cycles, motorcycles, motor vehicle parts and electric kettles. But the Haden legacy did not stop there—in the 1970s an extremely successful hotel business was established on the west coast of Ireland.
